Hackett London’s new Autumn/Winter 2015 collection is a refreshed and streamlined update of cold weather classics. Hackett’s refined British heritage has been given a global viewpoint for the season, with a new lighter and weightless approach: defining the modern man who has to be stylish in different situations, performing his many roles, while making it all look effortless.

Hackett’s premium ‘Mayfair’ label has been subtly split into two sections – ‘Boardroom’ and ‘Balmoral’ for AW15, it is an inspired and modern reflection of the successful man and his sartorial requirements.

Hackett Mayfair’s ‘Boardroom’ is the elegant and trusted side of the Hackett man’s daily business life: the busy world of an international executive who wants to look and feel good. Tailoring has taken a new advanced direction this season, with the internal structure of the Mayfair jackets now all canvassed together. A canvassed jacket is of the highest quality; it is hand stitched and takes a full 300 minutes to make. Checks add the pattern and interest in a collection dominated by navy and grey. The options are classic and slim fitting style suits all made from English wool. Key pieces in the collection are the classic grey 6 button double-breasted suit in a straight hemmed style with a red overcheck and the striking navy and grey check suit.

‘Balmoral’ is a sophisticated male urbanite’s view of the countryside. A place for him to socialise and escape the pressures of his work life, this sartorial breath of fresh air features reworked country styles in a palette of autumnal greens and blues. The micro print shirt defines the looks this season, as it is reflected in the deconstructed shoulder of the jackets and the more informal approach to wearing tailoring. Cashmere cardigans and heavy knit jumpers are worn under blazers teamed with lightweight scarves or print ties. A city look brought to the country; key pieces include a double breasted camel overcoat and a backpack rain coat which features internal straps to hang the coat from the shoulders.

The Hackett Mayfair collection sees an influx of shearling and heavy outerwear pieces ensuring the Hackett man is properly attired and formal whilst still retaining those practical elements needed during the winter months. A colourpalette of camel, brown, beige and off-white features on shearling collars and woven quilted jackets. Key pieces include a down jacket printed to look like tweed, a shearling collar grey flannel overcoat and a cropped double-breasted brown shearling jacket teamed with a turtleneck or a ribbed cardigan with horn buttons.

Hackett’s casual wear collection takes a more laid back attitude this season; it is the vision of a young man about town who is energetic and full of the dynamism of the city. London is his urban side from his stylish apartment to his hectic social life, his wardrobe is designed with an ease of movement and the simplicity of the pieces working simultaneously regardless of how they are put together. A palette of grey and navy, with touches of sky blue reflects the urban backdrop. Casual tracksuits from Hackett’s London Rowing Club range are worn with knitted cardigans and double breasted overcoats. Denim is predominant within his lifestyle and is reflected in his wardrobe from jeans to denim inspired shirts and jackets. Worn with either the staple Hackett Arctic parka, which has been updated to be fully ribbed and lighter without losing any of its warmth or a reversible down printed nylon bomber, the attire is perfect for this vivacious young gent around town.

Hackett’s extensive range of AW15 accessories includes a new range of British style shoes in classic brogue designs with fabric inserts and pebble-grain finish. A new bag range of holdalls and messenger bags are available in different tweeds. Printed wool and foulard scarves come in micro patterns, stripes and polka dots for that final flourish to any outfit.

The success of the ‘Aston Martin Racing by Hackett’ Collection appears not to be slowing down as British engineering provides the inspiration for this dynamic range. Incorporating Hackett’s new HKT – Hackett Sport logo, the collection is less graphic with a focus on the technical elements. Quilted outerwear pieces are lightweight whilst still retaining its ultra performance and four-way stretch knits in a full-zip and vest shapes are ergonomically designed to allow for freedom of movement. Signature colours include olive and bright blue, as well as greys and black in a collection celebrating speed. Accessories include the AMR duffle; a compact and contemporary gym/grip bag shape available in the key colours olive and blue.
