Business Analyst

SUMMARY
To assist the Revenue Controller and Cost Controller in performing detailed financial analysis including advanced financial modeling, KPI setting and monitoring, benchmarking, profitability analysis, return on investment analysis and return on net asset analysis. To also assist in monitoring business issues and impact to Profit & Loss of the Group.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• To ensure the timely and accurate reporting of costs in the Group.
• Perform Group daily sales reporting and report as well as followed up on any deviations with the respective business units
• To monitor the Group discount structure on a daily basis
• Weekly review of gross margin per stores through sampling basis to ensure the correct margins are applied
• Assist in preparing board, lender and internal management reporting packages, including analytical review and graphs
• Prepare, review and distribute monthly financial reports to stores and cost/ profit centers
• To track expenses and revenues vs budget and reforecast and analyze fluctuations
• Support preparation of monthly financial report
• Coordinate financials questions/ answers among stores and the Treasury and Accounting & Control departments
• Prepare regular operating reports
• Assist in the budget and reforecast process
• Evaluate profit and cost efficiencies in various areas of the organization as needed
• Must be always able to support in other Controlling functions
• Budget Planning as well as 1st forecast, 2nd forecast and 3rd forecast have to be delivered on pre-agreed time and have to be as accurate as possible
• Month end reporting from Brand/ Store Managers has to be reviewed and deviations reported to the respective Managers and COO

REQUIREMENTS
• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree or a Professional Certification (ACCA or CIMA) in Finance or Accountancy or equivalent
• Required experience: 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
• Must possess strong, effective communication skills in both written and verbal English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Able to work under pressure and with tight deadlines and is a multitasker
• Good Microsoft Office skills
• Self-motivated and result oriented
