About the Role

  • Identify and develop potential, sustainable new business opportunities.
  • Prospect new clients by networking, cold calling, advertising or other means of generating interest from potential clients.
  • Develop and maintain existing customer relations and loyalty.
  • Ensure the continuous relationship with existing key customers and drive new businesses to accelerate growth.
  • Grow and retain existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services to clients.

Key Responsibility Areas:

Identify New Sales Leads

  • Develop a robust pipeline of opportunities, by identifying and meeting with key decision makers and leverage on networks.
  • Plan persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince potential clients to do business with the company.
  • Build strategic alliances with new customers and develop a deep understanding of their business goals, strategies and operations by engaging with senior management to acquire a profound understanding of the clients’ need.

Build and Implement Business Development Strategies

  • Build and plan strategic future development of the business.
  • Create and execute a long-range business plan and implement strategies to deliver sales, revenue and margin targets.
  • Deliver the sales business plan with key sales strategies and direction.
  • Plan and oversee new marketing initiatives.

Client Retention

  • Lead in engagements and strategic customer interfaces with key corporate customers.
  • Maintain an excellent client relationship with existing and potential client.
  • Ongoing communication with existing landlord database to discuss expansion and relocation through lease expiration dates, future plans, etc.

Reporting

  • Develop proposals/quotations and identify associated risk involved in potential engagement of the company’s management to review and input.
  • Ensure on time and accurate sales reporting is achieved and provided to management in line with expectations.
  • Compile and present monthly leasing opportunities to Directors (internal).
  • Update and compile landlord and corporate company database and maintain updated contact details.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure all business activities comply with relevant Acts, legal demands and ethical standards dependent upon the country business is being conducted and the requirements of the company.
  • Attend to ad-hoc request(s)/assignment as and when required by AVP, Business Development or Director. Urgent request must be attended immediately.
  • Maintain a good relationship with Director, Senior Management, direct superior and other team members within the department and other departments.
  • Staff to conduct themselves in a proper and professional manner in compliance with the Code of Business Conduct.

Personal Development

  • To have and maintain at all times competent knowledge in areas of duty.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum a Bachelor Degree, Professional Certificate or Diploma in Marketing/ Business Studies/ Administration.
  • At least 5 years working experience in related field with 2-4 years’ exposure in retail environment and/or sales and marketing. Has relevant work experience in corporate sales.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Good networking and negotiation skill.
  • Has strategic mind set.
  • Team Player.
  • Pleasant Personality.
  • Outgoing and sales oriented.
  • Able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point.
