Events & PR Assistant Manager / Manager (Watches)
Position Summary:
- Propose and execute immersive and relevant event concepts that are customer centric and in-line with brand direction.
- Plan, strategise and coordinate all media, PR and events-related activities.
- Manage budget and set direction for events and media plans to achieve business objectives.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Achieve set event and PR objectives; whether in terms of attendance, brand SOV, new leads or sales conversion.
- Principal liaison: Adhere to principal’s brand guidelines and report submission deadlines.
- Budget management: Adhere to approved spend.
Key Responsibilities:
Events Planning
- Build a comprehensive events calendar across 4 countries – Malaysia, Singapore, Australia and Thailand.
- Develop and manage all events such as boutique launches, product launches, press events and sponsorship activities.
- Plan and organise events with attention to financial and time requirements, as well as brand guidelines.
- Looking for and comparing different vendors, booking venues and outsourcing and negotiating with vendors to achieve business and event objectives.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends, identify new event concepts and prospect potential partners to deliver unique, immersive experiences.
Media Planning
- Develop a communications plan including strategy, goals, budget and tactics across key regions – Malaysia, Singapore, Australia and Thailand.
- Plan and execute PR campaigns and strategies to elevate the brand and support business objectives.
- Cultivate and maintain media relations, coordinate media inquiries and proactively identify and secure editorial or interview opportunities.
- Perform editorial task that include editing, proof-reading, press release, speeches, and other related press material.
Brand Partnerships
- Strategise and develop event and media proposals to brand partners to cooperate on events and media collaborations.
- Develop and maintain good relationship with mall management for tie up, mall advertising, event and real estate opportunities.
Reporting and Analysis
- Monitor and compile all publicity and press coverage into reports for management.
- Ensure timely submission of events and campaign reports including post-event recap and analysis.
- Track campaign performance, gather insights and evaluate program effectiveness, as well as provide recommendations to improve results.
- Review and research events and campaigns of other relevant brands and delivery key best practices to management.
Requirements:
Education: Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related field.
Professional Experience:
- At least one prior experience in media and/or events management.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in working with multiple stakeholders and managing budgets.
Personal Attributes:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to build partnerships and relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Fluid to adapt to a highly dynamic luxury retail environment online and offline.
- Self-motivated and can work independently.
- To succeed in this role, you will need the drive and passion for learning about the industry and the ability to cope in a fast-paced environment.
Languages: Excellent command of spoken and written English. Knowledge of other language(s) is an added advantage.
