Brand General Manager- Bacha Coffee
Position Summary:
• Provide responsible and skilled leadership in directing all facets of retail operations for the Brand.
• Achieve Brand Business Goals – drive sales, optimize profitability and other KPIs.
• Drive Retail Excellence in line with Valiram and the Brands standards – operational procedures, staff training, customer service and staff general welfare.
• Work with Projects team, contractors, and local team to ensure timely delivery of renovations, new store openings and etc.
• Develop and maintain efficient inventory management and integrity.
• Oversee merchandising & planning and optimize inventory.
• Bring inspiring leadership and guidance to the Brand team.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide “World Class” Brand Leadership
• Develop & implement a “world class” strategic plan in keeping with the objectives of the Brand(s) and regional specifications.
• Develop a close working relationship with all the relevant stakeholders, Brand principal, BMs/AMs, store staff and landlords.
• Analyse local business environment, competition, trends and work to assist the Brand business in each country that we operate in.
• Tour the sales floor regularly, talk to colleagues and customers, and identify or resolve urgent issues.
Drive Sales & Profitability
• Develop, implement, and monitor the Brand annual business plans and Quarterly Business Reviews to drive sales, optimize profitability and reach other business oriented targets.
• Effectively build and manage operating budgets, P&L’s and buying budget (OTB) and manage KPI’s of the same.
• Maximize sales across Brand by ensure accurate, timely and commercial sales planning and forecasting.
• Compilation of all reports and statistics related to the performance of the Brand.
• Manage and maintain positive working relationship with all key external stakeholders, especially with brand principals.
• Work constructively with Brand teams, Valiram retail operations teams and other internal Valiram stakeholders to drive sales and retail excellent.
Store Openings/Renovation
• Collaborate with Projects team and local team to ensure on-time delivery of renovations, new store openings and etc.
Inventory Management
• Work with Merchandising department and brand teams to optimize inventory in all stores – week of supply, full price sell through, full season sell through, mark down sales, and ageing stock.
• Evaluate stock requirements and ensure timely replenishment.
• Ensure maximum stock turns and controlling aged inventory.
Oversee Merchandising & Planning and optimize inventory
• Oversee the development of annual and seasonal merchandise plans, OTB activities and etc.
• Work with the brand, merchandising and logistic teams to evaluate stock requirements, optimize allocation and timely replenishment.
• Ensure maximum stock turns and control aged inventory.
Marketing and Visual Merchandising
• Work with the Marketing department to properly implement marketing and promotional activities to drive traffic, increase sales and develop loyalty.
• Ensure CRM and loyalty programs are implemented efficiently to drive sales revenue.
• Ensure compliance on all Visual Merchandising standards at all stores and train if necessary.
• Share store photos with Brand(s) in a timely manner.
Service Standards
• Guarantee that stores offer WOW customer service in stores via training and coaching.
• Work with Area/Store Managers to train & coach on-going basis staff in service standards.
Inspire The Teams
• Conduct staff appraisal and quarterly performance review.
• Improve staff morale leading to positive and dynamic working attitude and environment.
• Maintain general and acceptable staff working conditions.
• Support all Managers to maintain productivity and retail/restaurant operational standards and in area of discipline, work performance, and sales.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in any discipline.
• 10-12 years of management experience in a comparable retail environment.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in senior leadership/managerial capacity.
• Strong, independent leadership skills to manage and drive solutions.
• Good team building, interpersonal skills, and coaching and people development skills.
• Strong communication skills; able to communicate effectively with people at all levels.
• A team player with positive mental attitude, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong project management skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Good business acumen; able to identify business trends and react quickly to the needs of the business.
• High level presentation, influencing & commercial negotiation skills.
• Willing to travel both locally and overseas.
• Fluent English in written and spoken. Able to converse in other language(s) is an added advantage.
