About the Role
As a Project Manager you will oversee every aspect of our projects, from start to finish, ensuring seamless operations and timely delivery. You’ll coordinate administrative, operational, technical, and financial tasks, to meet quality standards, timelines, and budget goals. Your role extends to fostering strong partnerships with our brand partners, ensuring they view our team as an integral part of their own. Additionally, you’ll cultivate positive relations with contractors and vendors, promoting professionalism and fairness to uphold our culture of integrity and excellence, contributing to the overall success of our projects and stakeholder satisfaction.
Key Responsibility Areas:
- Collaborate with estimating and purchasing in the up-front set up of projects to ensure cost savings and the best contractor for the job.
- Formulate and develop contract terms with contractors.
- Ensure the implementation and compliance of policies and procedures on projects.
- Attend and participate in meetings with contractors and project members.
- Plan and schedule project timelines.
- Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables.
- Develop full scale project plans.
- Manage project budget and resource allocation.
- Present reports defining project progress, problems, and solutions.
- Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
- Project evaluations and assessment of results.
- Oversee maintenance issues when operational level is not able to when it is required attention.
- Manage project resource allocation.
- Consolidate expenses that took place for each project.
- Address and resolves all billing issues.
- Evaluate and redesigns retail project offerings in consultation with superiors.
- Understand the implications of different technical choices and is able to guide internal decisions to the best solution for the specific situation.
Key Requirements:
- Education: Minimum a Diploma/Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Construction Management or Project Management.
- Professional Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience, preferably in a comparable retail environment.
- Personal attributes:
- To possess effective communication skills.
- Build and maintain good rapport with staff, government bodies and vendors.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Pleasant personality.
- Proficient in Computer skills and Microsoft Office applications like excel and project.
- Able to adhere to tight deadlines and work under pressure.
- Sound financial awareness.
- Strong understanding of construction means and methods.
- Languages: Fluent English and both in written and spoken. Knowledge of other language is added advantage.
