Stock Loss Prevention Manager

Job Description

As part of the Company’s stock loss prevention strategy, we are now looking for a Senior Manager/Manager to join the organisation. The incumbent will be responsible in the protection of assets of the Group specifically inventory as well as to ensure processes and policies are being followed. This role will be based in our head office in Jalan Pinang, Kuala Lumpur reporting into the Vice President – Inventory Control & Finance.

POSITION SUMMARY

  • This position requires the individual to protect the assets of the Group, namely inventory as well as to ensure that set processes are followed

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

General Outline

  • Work with the retail team and Area Managers to manage inventory and minimize stock losses (within agreed level of tolerance per brand/product category).
  • Play a leading role when inventory integrity issues occur –Investigate and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collate and deliver open feedback between the retail team and other departments to ensure integration of the inventory management processes and strategy.
  • A quarterly Stock Take Plan must be proposed to VP Inventory Control and agreed with brand/operation teams.
  • Responsible for ensuring that inventory records for the Group are accurate at all times.
  • Oversee stock take preparation, counts, investigate discrepancies and submit as per timeline.
  • Verify country results submitted by all countries before proceeding with adjustment and to determine, where possible, if variance is caused by system, human error or actual stock loss/theft.
  • To train the Inventory Count Team to ensure team members have good understanding of the whole Inventory Count process and synchronized processes across different countries.
  • Conduct random and ad hoc inventory audits.

Others

  • Attend to ad-hoc request/assignment as and when required by Superior. Urgent request must be attended immediately.
  • Supervise and provide support (hands on work might be required) to subordinates to ensure set deliverables.
  • Identify and analyse inventory integrity issues – recommend and implement corrective actions.
  • To coordinate with respective Country Head to ensure effective Inventory Count Team performance.
  • Design and implement best practice inventory management principles and controls.
  • To support set up Inventory Count Team for other new markets as necessary.
  • Act as the escalation point for store teams and business leaders in resolving complex inventory discrepancies.
  • Identify opportunities in inventory management, design and implement improvement processes and controls.
  • Other duties and tasks as reasonably directed.
