Kuala Lumpur, 4 October 2014 – Swiss Watch Gallery, the premier Malaysian owned regional luxury watch retailer, celebrated the Grand Launch of the fourth installation of its timepiece exhibition – THE ART OF TIME, at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur with a private cocktail party for their exclusive guests.
The Grand Launch was officiated by the Guest of Honour, Yang Berbahagia Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Dr. Ng Yen Yen, Chairman of Tourism Malaysia, at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur on the 4th October 2014. Yang Berbahagia Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Dr. Ng Yen Yen was greeted by a ceremonial playing of the traditional drums, Jidur, then toured the exhibition to visit the brand partners in their respective brand espace, and also view the Haute Horlogerie Espace featuring key highlight timepieces from the participating brands.
It was a night of glitz and glam, as the exclusive event was attended by VIPs, society’s top influencer, key media figures, as well as customers. As guests mingled in the specially built 5100 sq ft. Maison Swiss Watch Gallery, they were treated to a melodic jazz performance by Malaysia’s leading chanteuse, Atilia. Delectable canapes were served by Sheraton Imperial, who have curated a special menu for the Art of Time’s Grand Launch. Preferential privileges were also made privy to all customers during The Art of Time.
This 12 day showcase presents over 100 haute horology, high complication and high jewellery pieces, with over 1000 fine timepieces collectively. The Grand Launch night infused excitement in the air, as guests were enthralled by the RM55 million array of timepieces, including high jewellery, tourbillons, and meticulous complications by the world’s leading maisons of haute horology, such as Cartier, Graham, IWC Schaffhausen, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Piaget, Tag Heuer, Tudor, Ulysse Nardin, Vertu, and Zenith, many of which unveiled new works of art for the first time in Malaysia at the showcase.
Among the highlights for The Art of Time include Master Engraver from Jaeger-LeCoultre, showcasing the meticulous and sophisticated art of engraving. Guests will be able to witness first-hand the complexity of this craft and enjoy the beauty and unique character of its creations which is embodied in this presentation of fine art watchmaking. Specially flown in from Switzerland, guests can experience first-hand by attending private classes at the Maison Swiss Watch Gallery.
